yesterday i went out into my yard again and i found alot of junque, but then as i was wandering around to the other side of my yard i got a rather large, shallow signal that almost took my ears off. i started digging and there was a root in the way... it was relatively small so i dug around and finally saw the item in the hole. i grabbed the root and pulled it up with one hand and grabbed the thing with the other. it turned out to be a cap gun... also in the hole were pieces of a shed door handle... this gun was my one keeper.
i also found a crummy zincoln earlier in the week at my grandma's house.... i was hoping to find more there but i guess it was not meant to be...

It will get better, Pookie. Nice pistol. Don't know anything about it. All the ones I have found have been rust free. That's not a real one, is it? Don't you love the stinkin zincolns? I usually toss them because they are so corroded.

i have no idea how to clean it up, but it looks pretty trashed... i used a wet toothbrush to get some of the dirt off but that was probably wrong... most of the guns dug up look pretty nice, but not mine. oh well
