Banner Photos dont show up

Banner Photos don't show up

I don't know if I messed something up in profile settings or what the problem is, but I don't see the photos in the banner bar any more. Been like this for a few weeks now. All I see is a black bar. If I scroll the cursor over the bar it shows the info of what the pic is that's supposed to be there, but no photo. I can click where the thumbnail is and it'll take me to the post, but it'd be nice to see the photos...Any suggestions?

I had something similar happen the other day. Several of the Banner pics were missing and replaced with purple text against a black background. If I clicked on it the link worked as it should. The problem was random but getting worse.

I cleaned out my history, temp files, cache etc, rebooted and everything was back to normal after I logged back in.

What browser are you using? Every so often a member has an a problem with a device such as an iphone.

if DigginThePast hasn't found your problem,

go to your Profile
on the left choose


Look and Layout Preferences
Customize the forum.
Adjust the Finds Banner.

make sure you don't have Hide Finds Banner Checked.

If still the same

Have you added a New Virus Progam ?

If you did, or adjusted settings
look & see if you are Blocking
online ads.

Mcafee Thinks the Banner is an online ad
You will need to Unblock online ads

Still have a Problem, then Sorry
perhaps someone else can help

I checked his profile - nothing in the settings to cause this....

Are you on a Windoze machine?

What browser are you using?

You might want to hold down the alt key (or the option key on a Mac) then hit the reload button.

Thanks for the help...I had to turn off my anti-banner protection on my security. Don't remember ever turning it on, but might have done it automatically through an update. Thought it was fishy that the banner pics just disappeared on me one day. I appreciate the help and am happy to see the highlights of this site back at the top of my screen!
