A few days ago I hunted the yard of a house that was built in the early 1870's.
1898 - Barber Dime - (in much better condition then it looks in the photo's)
1893 & 1896 - Indian Cents
1920 - 1945 - 1957 - Wheat Cents
( 7 ) - Modern Clad Coins - (not shown)
Pendant / Charm - Enameled Heart shape - (costume grade)
1861 to 1864 - Civil War - Store Card / Token :
This is also considered a "Sutler's Token" because the Buffum's Company also supplied their products to the Union Army during the war.
Merchant's that supplied the Military with any type of goods at that time were called "Sutler's".
Due to the major coin shortage during the war - Soldier's could use these Token's to pay for goods instead of coins.
The 3rd & 4th photo's are of a NON DUG version.
Good Hunting !
