Picked up an Explorer 2 a couple of days ago and picked up this 1899
barber dime with it this morning. This is the 4th barber dime I've found
at this site, the others found with a soveriegn, including the 1895o key
date.

beautifull dime ! i found a 1908 about an hour ago and boy was i happy that 1899 is a beaut hope i can break into the 1800s someday , congrats to you

Congratulations, MonDak, on another Barber coin find!! I get so excited when I find a barber here in S. CA. I've got about 11 of them this year, and can tell you where/when I found each of them.

Have you noticed any increase of depth with the Exp. II over the Sovereign?? Is the Sovereign a multi-freq. like the Exp. II is?

Up here in NY i'm tired of finding Merc dimes, I've only found 8 Barbers and ten times that many Merc's
Without giving away your spot, what state are you in?
