✅ SOLVED Barn Wall Find

I was going through some pieces hanging on a barn wall the other day. Amongst a myriad of horseshoes, plow blades, etc, I spotted this little hook. I won't taint this post by stating what I think it is because I can't find a similar example online.

2-3/4" Long, 1-1/4" Wide

just a harness snap. had a piece of spring steel that closed the hook.

Looks like a hay bail hook to me. Kind of on the small side, but definitely looks like one.

Wow, I found one of those under a tree root ball last spring, same condition too

Yep it could have held many things , if it had a spring held closing piece it would resemble a US Sword or other tool hangar.
