Here are a few finds I came across. Nothing too crazy to speak of but I enjoyed getting out...

I've a mix likely spanning 125 years. The house seised to exist in the 1880's, so the buffalo is a later drop.

Here's the Indian. Probably one of my nicest ones ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1479432064.447860.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1479432075.459221.webp

And the barrel tap key...

Wow, Steve, love the detail on that IHC. Nicest I've seen for a dug one! Congrats on your finds. -Lisa & John

Thanks Lisa. It's a great feeling to get a good looking one once in a while. Mine are usually the ugliest around! Lol

That's a mighty fine injun you got there Steve. And the barrel tap key is cool. I found this a few weeks ago and was thinking it was the tip of a skeleton key. But now I know better-amazing what you can learn from Tnet posts!

Yep, that looks pretty textbook for a tap key. I'm sure with a little too much cider and a still tap valve, that many a key's fate ended up snapped just like yours. Lol

Thanks for looking bud.!

Sweet finds as usual!! That Indian is one of the best I've seen posted.
I'll have to go through my old keys I've found. Thought I found one, one time that looks something like those you posted?

Hey that 1865 "fatty" IHP is in really nice shape for coming out of the ground, those usually suffer more corrosive damage than other Indian heads. Barrel key is really cool too! Congrats and HH

Great hunt! That IH is in amazing condition! :occasion14:

In the farm fields of Massachusetts most copper coins are toast. :BangHead:

I like it even if you did spell things wrong and forget to message me that you were in my neck of the woods?
JK, I got some more farm permissions down here. If you and the silver mafia are planning to hunt in Jersey you should seriously think about getting down my way. Just fuel for thought.

Ruff crowd on this thread Steve lol, IHP and tap key certainly masks for a solid hunt

Lol. Yeah, those guys are my pals[emoji21]. But with friends like that.....what's that saying again?!

Thanks DD. This site has coughed up el roachos and then IHC's like this one.

Same here in NJ. That fertilizer wreaks havoc on coppers. This IHC came from the home site, while this crusty NJ copper came from the field a month or so ago. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1479662533.944064.webp

I wish that were dropped by the house...sigh

We never made it down. The wife got sick and I had to stick close. And yep - the good ol boys and loco are headed over in the spring. We can plan an event.

I want a full tap key so very, very badly. Well done!

Was that display you posted yours? It is beautiful.

Great finds Scrappy! Like the tap key. :icon_thumright:
