Bath County Hunt

Hunted an old homesite today, man, what a day to be out! Lot's more to dig at this place! Was nice to pick up my first ring of the year.

Any help with the "aluminum" buckle would be greatly appreciated, it has some kind of a seal on it.....never seen one.

Thanks for the kind words Burt, don't get them too often! I'm certain that I found another homesite on the way out from the this one. Saw a bunch of Apple trees and daffodils on a nice, flat piece of ground. Fired the detector back up and immediately received multiple iron targets. It was late so I didn't bother digging the iron but did dig two "above iron" targets, one of which was a one inch square piece of lead and the other was a brass piece with a small hinge on it. At first glance, it looked like an oil lamp or furnace piece but that hinge makes me wonder.....

Nice digs. I have a buckle just like the brass one, but broken. Haven't seen anything like the aluminum one though. Happy Swingin.

Found some lead today, that's about it. Was hoping for a coin or two. Hey, still happy!
