Any help with info on this bayonet or what it might be worth is much appreciated.

Btw, this was a $7 yard sale find. Any idea what it might be worth?

With me personally, I would be surprised to see one in the condition you have...do you have the scabbard by the way?

Even without the scabbard, I would be surprised if it went under 200...especially if you can track down who it was issued to, if it had history in the actual combat sense. That type of thing. Value is tied to commodities but is greatly extended if you can prove combat use, personnel who carried it, etc. I hope this helps

Here's one in quite a bit shape worse than yours...keep an eye on it to get a better idea.....

Unfortunately I do not have the scabbard. The link above provides some very useful info. Based on that info it looks like this was originally issued in June 1893(maybe 98) and was reissued several times.

I bought one in the same condition without a scabbard for around $30 from a militaria dealer a few years ago, I would guess probably between $40 - $50

it's not a rare bayonet

there is a website called worldbayonets.com. It has tons of info, pics and bayonets listed by country. It the place to look for identification.

I bought that exact same one in a pawn shop for $5. !979 in west palm beach fl. I cut 4 inches off the tip and reshaped to the same point. That was my main dive knife for years. I still have it.
