Davin, congratulations, I think you will love it. Today I received my first bazooka. Within an hour I was at the stream. Conditions couldn't have been worse the water was really high and I couldn't get to any of my favourite spots, in fact the only place I could set it up was right beside the bank and the water surged a lot. 2/3 of the time the top deck had really good flow then 1/3 it had no water. The bottom chamber remained 98% under water all of the time. And the only place I could dig was below the water line on the very edge of the stream. BUT I still got a good showing of gold when I cleaned up!!!
Total time on the stream today was maybe an hour, and actual digging time was 30-40 minutes!

So even if you don't get everything just right I think you will still get gold.

Enjoy your Bazooka!

Enjoy your new Bazookas! The gold will come much more quickly now!

In reference to my picture, does anyone know where I can find a smaller coin so the gold looks bigger?.........

just put in the washer with hot water and directly into the dryer:laughing7: like the girls do with their blue jeans to make their gold look bigger!!!

thanks for chiming in on the bazooka sluice, i appreciate it and really looking forward to getting it in the water.

But you are going about that the wrong way--just get bigger gold in the first place! :)

[Lots of luck with that in Denver; I guess you know that and hence the request for a smaller coin...heh, heh. I do have an old German 1 pfennig piece that was the standard Germany "penny" before the Euro. It is about 1.7 cm diameter vs. 1.8 cm for the dime, so your gold would grow by about 6%!!]

You just need a smaller pan!

Love it! :hello2:
I'll be looking for a metal one!

I just ordered a 24" Sniper yesterday.
Can't wait to get it. I feel that is going to be a Prospecting MACHINE!
Far better than prospecting/sampling with just a pan and a classifier.

Now we just need water here in So Cal. so I can use it :sadsmiley:

You're gonna love that Sniper! We have the 36".
What, you want a metal, mini pan? I might be able to do something about that.

Ha, I love it. I do love the sniper. I just need the stream to calm down a bit so I can run it. Just finishing up on a small Miller table to get the really really fine gold out of my cons.

Try akmining.com and search for "classic steel". A popup menu will show them sized 5/8" and larger.
