The ad links you put on the homepage are intended to spam users. If one reads the the info contained in the link (Bottom Right Corner of ads bar), they will realize that their web surfing is being monitored and used for spam.
This is a serious breach of privacy and should be disclosed in a conspicuous place to warn users.

I responded to your email. The ad links on the home page are not intended to SPAM users. We don't send SPAM to users. The ads show based on you search and browsing preferences through Google (if you use Google) and thus the ads are targeted to what they think you are interested in. We don't show pop-ups, we won't ever sell your email address to a marketing company and we absolutely DO NOT SPAM our users.

If you do not want Google to track your computer then there are a number of ways to opt-out.. and have nothing to do with this site as they track your searches and ads even if you ARE NOT on this site.

So, once again, if it's something you don't want them to track -- I suggest disabling it with Google as that will protect you no matter what site you are on. We run Google AdSense (So do 99% of the other sites out there).

Actually I prefer search related smart ads vs random stuff.... at least the ads around the net have started pertaining to my interests.

I agree. I'd rather see relevant ads that might interest me rather then ads I have no interest in whatsoever. Just my 2c.

But I don't search for vitimins or How to buy gold. Looks like others are getting porn. Sad, very sad. I can see users dropping like flies... Wait, I just got a chat request from some chick. Kinda cute, looks like she can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch too.

This site is getting sickening now. just got another chat invite. How much do these porn sites pay you for your permission to spamm us?

I keep hearing about these ad links and spam and dating/porn sites but I haven't seen a single one yet, much less a pop-up? Maybe it's your browser settings? I have my InPrivate filtering set to auto block.

Strange.... I havent seen any porn site ads.... I see some dating site ads tho. Those dating sites do a lot of advertising on the net so it makes sense that you would see that.

About half the ads I see here are from sites and places that I have searched or gone to. I get Kayaking, fishing, Sportsmans Guide....and ads for curio cabinets because my wife is looking online for one. We dont all see the same ads.... if you are seeing something here you dont feel belongs....well... um...it might be from your other surfing habits.

OK I do not look at porn sites... and at the bottom of this page is a pic of Stephanie says want to meet me ..ect. ? i dont look at junk on google I dont click on ads never have. i dont know what to do, I let my grndkids see stuff on here (Yes, they detect), I thought I had blockers , cause it has a line that says I can not see something because I have blockes set up? I love T-Net an am looking forward to learning how to navigate new set up. But, do you have any ideas how to help ?

If the ad shows the URL please let us know what it is... and we will filter it. The problem is, that this thread has so much discussion about dating and porn that THOSE ARE THE ADS THAT ARE NOW SHOWING UP. So it's a self-fulfilling prophecy here!

If people keep talking about it.... its going to keep happening. Please post the URL's and we'll nuke them. That's the best we can do at this point. No more image ads should be showing up.
