There truly is no place like home.

Since I returned from the up-north trip I'd been feeling a bit
out of sorts. No problems, really, just out of it and no gumption.
I was feeling the normal aches and pains, the life frustrations,
winter coming on, blahs.

I was talking with one of mine about it and they said I should
go for a "walk". I mentioned that I just didn't feel like doing
ANYthing lately. They gave me the electronic media
equivalent of a slap to the back of my head, so....





Now....just WHAT was this doing on an
elementary school soccer field!?!



Now, I may not know much about ammo,
but I KNOW that is one, special, modern, mean, sob of a bullet!

But...I digress....

in with his own bling!!



Just LOOK at how tiny those links are!! It is
silver but the craftsmanship that went into making
this far outweighs the value of the silver used! LOL

Anyhooo....glad I have at least one left who knows
what their doing. That slap up the back of my head
cleared a few cobwebs but the walk did me wonders!

That 40 cal is called a hydra-shok bullet. Designed to go deeper and expand further. Nasty critter that cops carry sometimes. I carried them in my 45 and my 9mm.

Looks like a good hunt

.40 cal might just be a recent drop by a SRO at the school. Probably saved someone a mild heart-attack if it had been found by a socceermom

Sometimes we do need a little prodding.
Someone should have booted me out the door...i didn't go and it was perfect detecting weather, for a change.
Now i will be miserable for a week.

I always wonder when i find bullets or casings at a school how they got there. You would hope it was a kids dropped trinket they had found else where, but now days you never know.

How does that go? ... I would get farther if i just got out of my own way.

but when I find one that looks like that I immediately think Cops Bullet.
and the 1 Bullet Barney Fife was allowed.
