Beach hunting

Are there any known beaches on the Jersey shore that prohibit hunting with a metal detector?

There are some best family quiet beaches you will find in new jersey where you can have lots of fun with family or friends and would be good as per your requirement.

Sandy Hook and one of the beaches down in LBI but I can't remember which one...they may have lifted that ban but Sandy Hook is definately off limits.

You cannot hunt at the lighthouse beach in cape may as it is national seashore. I believe you need a permit to hunt the south end of Ocean city (north of Strathmere) as it is state park.
