Beach Recommendations around Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach FL

I am going to be in the Pompano Beach area this weekend and was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on some good beaches to search on in this area?

All good - just being in right place at right time
Pompano is Gary Drayton neighborhood - hopefully he hasnt been out down there
lately - hopefully he is on Oak island

Get in the water if you can - I rent a car when im in Fla.
I hit and run - I jump in and look around with mask - I try to find "hard" bottom
areas - bottoms with rocks - coral or larger shells
thats where i make my best scores - if I dont start banging it
- if place looks recently hammered - I move on down to another beach till I start making finds

You'll have to search hard for places that aren't sanded in. Good luck
