In reading a book unrelated to treasure hunting and knowing someone from there it sounds to me like the beaches in Goa, India are a TH'ers dream. Along the western coast of India and a hot spot for travelers from all over the world the potential for lost jewelry and foreign coins seems limitless....
Has anyone ever detected there??? I'd be interested to hear stories from anyone who has detected the beaches in Goa, India.
Thanks & happy hunting!

Come to Goa. Lets do this. I'm sure there is a lot of jewelry hidden under the sand of the main beaches.

don't know if its legal - and crime rate is high there and think you might have a hard time living the beach with your gold
but yes I believe by pic ive seen that its probably a gold mine

Gold mine! How much to hire a bodyguard?

with all the trouble and costs it would take - would be cheaper to get scuba or hookah and go deeper locally

With the amount of people that come to these beaches, I'm sure taking the risk will definitely be worth it. All you need to do is find out about the necessary permissions needed to do so.

.... All you need to do is find out about the necessary permissions needed to do so.

"Necessary permissions"? Where did you deduce that permission was needed here ? (just curious). Wouldn't they merely need to check local laws (if they are skittish/worried) ? And if there was no law forbidding metal detecting, then presto, it's not dis-allowed ?

I'd be more concerned about water pollution than permission.....:censored:

Dude. They put their dead to rest on the coast lines. You sure u wanna do India? I'll pass... gold mine or not

Speaking of dead, I just realized that post is over 7 years old! Anyone hunted it in the last 7 years??:dontknow::laughing7:
