I'd be curious what else could be there but, I'd be doing more watching over my shoulder vs. digging. Lol

Take a partner back with you just make sure you can run faster then him. Lol

The sad facts are I have no digging friend's I have tried to get people from this website no luck. I live in westeran mass,

Well matt guess you are correct but what brand wheres the piece cleaned it has crown on top with G R and patent

I'm really curious about the padlock cover if that is in fact what it is.... The crown and "G.R." Tells me it's British from the time of King George.... But which one is the question....

Then what the heck is it iam puzzled now can anyone chime in on this ?

the silver or greyish item with the round top tapering down and the hole round three quartters the way round and flat the last quarter sure look like the knob of a total lever of older electro/mechanical national cash register.i base this on me being in the cash register business from 1960 to 2005 .if you google national cash register, model 6000 you might find a picture.
