Beautiful '56 wheat and some oddities

Went through my 12th bag, came up with a nice shiny 56 wheat


As well as a few cracks, though nothing as spectacular as Ranger Chuck's



Also found this one, which appears somewhat "wrinkled" for lack of a better phrase, on both sides, not sure what that'd be called


Lastly, this one has a weird sort of bulge from 7-10 or so on the face of it, again, unsure as to the proper term

Looks like a CUD to me. Nice find.

A real nice '56 for sure XF condition, great find to catch in the wild with mint luster.

There's nothing there that resembles a cud. I see some die deterioration going on.

You guys are right. On my phone, the dark area looked like a hump. Computer monitor shows that there is no CUD.

So this isn't anything really? First one I've really noticed like that, so wasn't sure. Same with the "wrinkled" one. I doubt they're anything special, but were unusual

IDK if it could be a planchet defect, it seems unlikely. So, one possible explanation for the wrinkled one would be PMD such as torch or electric current. The zinc core can become molten inside the copper shell. Zinc has a fairly low melting point. Even a bunsen burner can melt it (kids in chemistry class maybe?).
