As I strode through the store, I decided to swing buy the Coin Star machine and plucked out a 1944 wheat penny and a modern zinc penny. Not too shabby...
On the way out of the store I noticed a young lady dumping a pickle jar full of coins int the Coin Star machine. I made my move after she left. A fist full of coins in the reject tray! I stuffed my pocket full of coins and headed home. I washed and dried them thoroughly. What a strange haul! About $1.50 American clad and a combination of Canadian and European coins. The oldest was this 1943 silver Swiss Franc. It is my first silver of the year and also the best silver coin from a Coin Star machine. Thanks for looking! GL&HH!
