I'm new to all of this treasure hunting and I read that beech trees were used as a canvas for all sorts of groups to mark trails and treasure, whether it be Native Americans or a secret society. I remembered a place I went to when I was younger and there's probably a dozen or so beech trees. The surrounding area has no other beech trees as they are all concentrated in this one area. Some of these trees are seriously old, 3 or so feet in diameter. Some of these carving have got to be within the last 40 years or so but there are some other markings that look really old. Any thoughts on these?
