It's been a long time since making a post here on the forum, but after somewhat of a hiatus from the metal detecting world, I ventured out into the field once again and here are a few of the more significant things that I found over the last couple of weeks.
In a trip to a huge two story old farm house in which the build was completed in 1885, I learned from the owner that as the house was being constructed, his 2nd great grandfather moved a log cabin from a quarter mile up the road to an adjacent site next door and lived there while building the "big house". Oddly enough, my son-in-law and I have not found anything of significance at this big house. However, on the site where the old log cabin sits (currently added on to and remodeled), I found this 1849 Braided Hair Large Cent. It is in really good shape as you can see. My son-in-law also found an 1857 Flying Eagle Cent which was only made for three years (no photo available yet). This property dates to the 1830's.

I also found a very unique token on the next door property as well. Here are a couple of photos of it and what is on the token:

Needless to say, we're not done there yet!
At a totally different site that dates to the very early 1900's, I found an Indian cent in rough shape. Probably can't see much from the photo here but under a magnifying glass I can make out three characters of it's date of 18?8. Of course, like y'all, we found an abundance of junk or trash items at both of these sites. Apologize for the long post.
