:hello: It has been a good long while for me when I last posted. I thought I would jump in and say hi. I have been reading the post on here just have not posted since 2012:dontknow:. That being said I thought I would post and tell everyone that my wife and I are buying new Garrett's a first for her. I am a die hard fan of Garrett's. I have done a lot of home work on the AT Pro as well as the GTI 2500. I like both of them the wife likes the Pro and me the GTI. but both seem to do a real good job in different ways and modes. I have always used the Garrett's so its not such a curve to learn or at least I would not think so anyway. Any thoughts on this would be welcome. And don't get me wrong I don't mean to beat a dead horse here. But when you are going to dump that kind of money any help is a blessing. I have watched the vids and read a lot of post here and elsewhere. I see folks praise them and some down them sooo I thought I would just asked some of you that use them. I also looked at other brands but just cant or don't want to leave the Garrett's I have used the Garrett ADS the cx the Ads 7 and so on. Here is the kicker I used a GTI 1500 and thought it did a good job. and seem to go deeper than my ADS 7 or the CX. One more thing coils for them. I see some nice after market ones that seem outstanding any help there would be nice as well. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I think the ATP is a good choice no matter what... For the price difference the ATP is the better choice unless you go to an Etrac or similar...

Yea the AT pro or Gold seem to be the go to machines. I like the GTI 2500 for it's true all metal mode and other redeeming fetchers that the AT pro doesn't have. I see you have an E-Trac how is that working for you?

The AT Pro and GTI 2500 are good detectors. You also might consider getting an AT Pro and AT Gold. If I can help you in your decision, let me know.

I have always done well with Garrett detectors. Good customer service too!

Hi Wayne and Thank You. What kind of deal can you give me on a 2500 and a AT Pro. I see you have a good rep around here. I would even buy a used later model 2500 and a AT Pro if the price was right. They would have to be newer ones after Garrett got the bugs out. Thanks You.

I also agree that you may want to consider an AT Pro and an AT Gold.... the Gold will have an all metal mode that you are seeking, plus the coils (at least the factory ones anyway) are interchangeable between the two models. This may save you a bit of money in the long run. :)

Hi John. I have always had good luck with Garrett and very good service as well. I have also been looking at E-Trac as well not sure about them. Seam's if you need to get one fixed you might have to wait a few months to get it done. On the other hand they seem to perform quite well so the jury is still out on that one.

After you get the Pro down look at the Nel coils together they are super deep and awesome

Thanks there Mac Dog I am going to do just that :headbang:. I just pulled the trigger on my new GTI 2500 today and looking for the best deal on the AT Pro. I am going to buy one ASAP. but I want to get the most for my money if you know what I mean. I don't plan on buying one ever year. I don't even think you can learn a new one in that time frame. Now don't get me wrong I will be able to find coins the first day out, but to really learn what it's saying that's another thing as you and others well know. Anyway thanks for the advice and anymore help is welcome as well. :icon_thumright:
