Beer bottle

My wife found these today. Can anyone tell me what this is and how to date it.

Looks like a Rheingold Chug A Mug bottle from the late 1960's early 70's to me... but other companies made similar bottles so it could be another brewer. Some also came in green...

I think your's was a Piels...

yep I remember them (Piels) around here in the 70's

I think they called them "big mouths"

musn't have been real popular, or the tops disolved.
I never dug a cap for one
