I had one of those years ago... Just check the exp date on the yeast packet & brew on!

I've had one sitting in my basement for over 6 months that has the stuff to make 2 batches. Paid $5 at GW & haven't had the time to make it.

Yeah, I've had the Mr. Beer kit for about 6 years now. Getting around to doing it, someday.....

Any excuse will do to have a beer (by the way, I'm from Australia)!!!! Love it! Great find!!!

Back in the 80's I was big on brewing beer, experimented a lot adding fruits to the batches, got the ABV way up. (Canned peaches had the best results in potency and flavor) Was living outside of Cleveland then, and Mom & my stepfather came up while I was at work. Just wanted to get home and have a beer. Got home, opened the fridge, and my last couple of beers were gone :(

Walked out on my deck and my stepfather was standing up in the corner and had a stream of drool down to the floor of the deck. That was my beer drooling down there!!! It was good beer, so I understood why he drank it all.......

Seems like a lot of work just to make some beer...

Yeah, it is some serious work - times of getting it done right NOW, and then returning again for the finale = gettiing it done right now.

Just preparring - you set up your brew and pay serious attention to the boiling BIG pot, stirring etc = fully and more - One serious portion of a single day.

So, you spend some weeks watching as a father/mother, anticipating the results = and effort to endure to the bottling. Had some bad batches = wasted efforts BOOM - needed more serious attention to cleaning....

But when you succeed, and if you weren't flinging it out there as a splat on the wall, you meet a beer which completely changes your taste buds!

Gotta get my butt to brewing again here!

My Granddad made beer in the 1960's. It required an acquired taste.

I love this Dick Feller song.
