I haven't had much time to hunt lately but had about 45 minutes today after work. I went to a spot that's maybe 1/8 mile from my house. I've driven by it 800!times and finally hit it today. Strangest finds yet. First signal I dug a button and in the same hole found 4 glass vials and 2 old medical needles. Glad I didn't jab one of these into me. The button cleaned up pretty well but I haven't been able to find a match to ID it. If anybody knows what it is thank you in advance. The backmark is D Evans Co Attleboro. Lots of gilt but I screwed up a few spots with the naval jelly.

The vials have rubber stoppers and one still has liquid in it. They say TCW Co USA on the bottom. The 2 needles obviously went with the bottles.really curious to know the story with all of these items in the same hole. My strangest finds yet.

I also dug a small coin and was surprised to find that it was a Belgian 2 Centimes coin. Hard to tell the date. It looked like 1837 at one point then 1847 then 1867 so basically I have no idea but it's an interesting coin.

Thanks in advance for any help on IDs.

Excellent finds Mr. Ahab! That button is a great recovery and the condition is amazing. That said however, I find the vials and needles extremely interesting. Not something I've seen on here before. Your small site may have at one time been some type of encampment? Should be fun investigating it further. Good luck on the hunts.

Thanks buddy! I always appreciate reading your posts and comments. Your passion comes thru and it's nice to see somebody that's as into it as you. All the best, Abe

Super finds! :notworthy: :headbang: :notworthy: Your button is one of nicest I've seen on t-net. I wonder why anyone would bury their "medicine" vials & needles? Looking forward to whatever else you pull from that new site. Andi

Thank you Andi. I'm excited to see what this place will hold. Very surprised at what has come out the first trip. It's funny that I've researched all these sites and driven and hiked all those mikes and my first military button was sitting in the dirt waiting for me just down the street. This hobby is full of surprises. The soil here should be fairly easy on items as evidenced by that button.
