Belleville Area. Anyone from that area.

I will be going to Scott AFB sometime in June. It is about 20 miles east of St. Louis, near Belleville. Never been in that area before. I may only be there a couple of days, but wanted to know if there were any good areas to do a couple of short hunts.

Hi Ray,
I've never hunted the Belleville area, but have friends that live there. I know the two high schools are fairly old and there should be some parks in that area. There is a neat little town called Lebanon not very far from Scott. Lot's of old houses, if you don't mind asking permission you could probably do very well.

Thanks for the info on the area. My time there will be very limited and I was still playing with the idea of brining my detector with me. Just a matter of checking a bag or going with carry on only (if I do not bring the detector). Probably better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. LOL
