Outstanding display of both Federal/Confederate Camps. Over 6,000 Reenactors. Final battle today at 3:00 PM. Federal Forces have 16 Cannon. Both sides have a complete cavalry. This is the 145th Anniversary of Confederate General Johnston's attempt to stop Federal General Sherman from reaching Richmond.

I didn't have enough swag to make it this year. Next year for sure. Fair thee well my sweet DIXIE!

I was there both days. Awesome sight to say the least. I think me and my daughter are going to be reinactors. We loved everything we saw!

I had a complete Butternut CSA uniform complete down to the hobnailed brogans and NC buttons...sold on Craigslist by a psycho ex while I was at work "because I only used it once last year" and she didn't think I'd wear it again...It was WINTER! Sheesh! It took me two years to collect all that stuff.

Bentonville, 145th Anniv. re-enactment. Here are a few pictures.

I was there in Oct. neat battle field.

Great pics!

I was at a reenactment in Gettysburg a few years ago. The sound was incredible and the smoke was unbelievable!

It was a load of fun. The only thing wrong was 95% of the men on the field were too old and too fat! :D ;D

nothing beats a bunch of overweight middle-late aged fellas in spotless uniforms, early-war frocks, sky-blue modern-wool pants , bundled with blue corningwear pots and reclining maple chairs showing you the rigorous life of the late-war western theatre 'shambled' and 'shoddy' reb army. ::)

Meh....

I see a couple decent impressions in there though...kudos to them for at least trying.

I'll go back to my smug corner now ;D

These 2 guys were there in the crowd Saturday. I asked them if they were going to fight today and they said, "naw, tomorrow." Without a doubt the most accurate representation of late war southern dress that I have seen. They are from Davidson Co. NC. These fellows looked real!
