Best Camera for photographing symbols

What type of camera is everyone using? Need to replace mine for analysis of sites, and not sure which to choose.

sorry about that I know nothing about cameras I just used my iPhone for some photographs whenever needed.

I would choose a point-and-shoot digital camera that also
has a macro function.

I use a canon SX-50HS Powershot it is not to much of a problem to pack around easy to operate and can take macro and super far away photos and the price is reasonable.

I will suggest Sony A6600. One of the best camera.

Buy yourself a film camera, they last forever. I use a 1930 and 1950 camera, still work perfectly, not like digital cameras that die after a couple years. Oh, to post online, I use a CanonPowerShot1000 that I paid $3.00 for at a yard sale.
