And that's not saying much! I've been out many times in the last month, but I just can't seem to get my coil over anything really good.

Today I hit the old school (1950-1990's). My father-in-law's buddies bought it and turned it into their own private bar/hang out space/storage/workshop.

Found a few coins, nothing great, including a British "new penny".

The little ring is sort of neat, I'm thinking Cowboys and Indians theme from the 50's. The funny car was a full Propointer+4 inches deep. Really?!

The little picture pendant was interesting. My wife went to this school, and thinks she knows who the girl in the picture is. I might try to find her and see if is actually her.

Anyway, thanks for looking at my finds. Hopefully I'll have something better to show after the next hunt. Some interesting finds, and thanks for sharing. It would really be cool if your wife is able to ID the girl! You will have to update us. Good luck.

You got out, you didn't get skunked, and I was stuck with my mother-n-law!

Glad to see you out there hunting. So you didn't find any of those hammered silvers, like you had a few weeks ago, at the local school? Huh, odd...

Whenever I come home from a killer place, it's always a bit tough for me to get enthusiastic about hunting in the local area.

Best of luck to you brother!

No shame, man. Nice to know even good detectorists aren't successful every time.

That car reminded me that I found a 2007 penny over 8 inches down last year. That's when I learned that once things are in the ground, they can take on a life of their own.

Good day and lots of finds...that's hard to beat...Good job!

Thanks Tommy, I will definitely post anything I find about the person in the picture

Haha sounds like a fun day. You know, you can rearrange the letters in "mother in law" and get the anagram "woman hitler". Thought I'd mention that, even though my mother in law is a saint.

Hammered silver! I wish man, I can't even find a silver Rosie these days. I need some new spots.

Thanks, and good luck to you as well

It's crazy finding newer stuff so deep. And that car gave such a sweet deep tone, thought I had a big silver for sure.

Looks like a pretty good hunt! Can't wait to see if your wife can ID the little girl in the locket.
