best detector

I am calling on all you evil treasure divers: we need new U/W detectors on the Whydah ASAP. I'd love to hear opinions on best brand and model, depth is not an issue but reliability of is of course.

I have used J W Fishers Pulse 12 and Pulse 8 for a number of years and have not had a single equipment breakdown. More importantly I enjoyed the personal attention offered by Chris Combs and Jack Fisher(passed) now his son Brian. Located in Taunton Mass.

IMO...Aqua Pulse.

Small, dependable, and powerful. Great P.I. detector, works very well on wrecks.

Do you know how the Pulse 8 compares to modern PI machines? There is one I could buy for around $400.00.
