Had business at my regular bank, asked for halves like I always do. The teller next to the one who was helping me had $6 loose in his tray, which was out of view. Right off the bat I could hear that some are silver. The teller who was helping me looked over and said, "some of those are real silver, I can tell just by looking at them." The teller with the coins seemed surprised by this, but did not outwardly display that he cared one bit about the coins. He put them out on the table, along with one roll, and said, "I have $16 worth." I contained my excitement as much as possible, and handed over the FRNs for the coins. Almost forgot my wallet as I left the bank.
