Best mixture for squirt bottle for coins?

I just use water, but, I would be interested to see if there is a better solution too.:icon_thumleft:

For stuff that doesnt matter, washed with a load of clothes in the washing machine, their own bag of course. Lol

For new stuff it doesn't matter a lot. For old stuff mechanically clean the copper coins.

For silver and gold I just use water in the field. After I get home I may use something different if need be. For copper I only use a jewelers brush with a fiberglass bristle tip. These work amazingly well but like everything else, do not over clean.

I never use a squirt bottle. Silver coins come out of the ground in good condition so I just rinse them with warm water and maybe a bit of hand soap when I get home. Clad gets tumbled.

When out in the field with the temptation to see the date on silver coins,I use a squirt bottle filed with a 50-50 mixture of water and windshield wiper fluid. This removes enough dirt so that it doesn't get damaged before I get home.

I think if i ever find a decent coin ,, i will squirt in my dungarees...:laughing9:

I use water and dawn in a spray bottle
