Best shoes for wading in florida atlantic beaches?

Does anyone have any preference for shoes while wading up to waist deep? My bare feet don't work to well with the scoop.

I use dive booties and they are great for digging in the surf!

Dive boots with hard sole and gators are what I use...........I have also used tennis shoes Fila Skele-Toes will work as well.......

I like crocs...been using them for years now.

Crocs and gators same thing, they are great for the water and no sand under your feet to bother you.....
