I have a family member that moved to Denver area but I have never gone to visit. I am planning on going to visit and do some fun recreational panning and sluicing somewhere on Clear Creek. Probably Arapahoe Bar and anywhere else that looks good and I can access easily.

Can anybody recommend a time of year for best flow conditions? I usually like the lowest water possible but be able to run a small sluice. I also want warm weather so I can wear shorts and T shirt and don't have to worry about getting wet.

I was thinking early Fall....

I use this United States Geological Survey site for current and past data on Clear Creek near Golden, CO. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/co/nwis/uv?site_no=06719505

I can't personally answer, but you might take a look at this site https://findinggoldincolorado.com/ or the book by the same name. It will probably give you a lot of good info for planning.

The website and book advice is awesome [emoji122] The book has over a dozen metro Denver dig sites!

September is beautiful in Colorado and the clear Creek water levels are low then.
