All the points seen in this picture are from the same site in North Louisiana. No points any larger in size have been found to date any thoughts?

Hey CPH, welcome to TN. Nice group of finds.

Maybe they were predominately hunting small game.

They are small because most of them are true arrowheads or arrow points. They were attached to arrowshafts that were shot using a bow. Most points prior to the bow and arrow were dart points which tipped spears that were launched with an atlatl. These dart points are typically (but not always) larger than the later arrow points.

The point in the center row on the far right is a much older type called a San Patrice. This one is several thousand years older than the rest of them. At least 8,000 years separate this one from the rest of them.

Is there any large cobbles in your area? Maybe all the good rocks were small. Nice

Welcome to the site

Good eye arrowman that point doesn't belong grouped with the others, it was found at a caddo addai site near my home.
