Hey to everyone!
Out of respect to Western & Eastern Treasure Magazine, I have not posted photos of my 2006 finds as a lot of the finds were pictured in the Feb 2007 edition where they put me on the cover and published my article about my schoolyard successes. I was totally honored to be in their magazine.
Some did request that I post my finds for last year so I finally got off my butt and took some photos of my 2006 treasure chest of keepers (gold and silver only) so finally, I will share them with you all here.
I got out 57 times last year and had one of my best years since the 1980's. I attribute that to this site, TNet, as participating here sure motivated me to get out and metal detect. I love reading about and seeing everyone's treasure adventures. You all are awesome. Thanks to Marc and the Mod Squad, you guys do a thankless job... it is appreciated be me!!! I will post a few photos of my treasure chest dumped out. The spread is about 2 feet across in the photo. Then, I took some shots of some of the finds segregated.
Not pictured are 5 gold rings I gifted to family members, a men's diamond wedding ring I foundfor one of my neighbors in his yard for him, two gold chains and a gold cross I gifted, 8 silver rings, and a bracelet I gave away.
My clad total was $325.62 - 4357 coins. I also found $160 in cash, $130 of which I returned to a girl whose wallet I found on the side of the road. I didn't take a reward for that or finding my neighbor's ring.
My favorite finds were:
1. A 1858 $2.5 gold coin with a 14kt gold chain
2. A 10 diamond 14kt gold men's wedding ring (not my neighbors)
3. A 14 gold thick chain and a 14 kt gold cross (I wear this every day)
Thanks for reading, enjoy the photos and thanks for all the motivation.
Good luck to each of you!
Oh ya...
go Red Wings!!!
go Pistons!!!
go Tigers!!!
Big smiles!
