BH Land Ranger or Minelab XTerra-30??

Im going to buy a metal detector.
Which metal detector between this two is better for Gold nuggets and Depth??

Is it better to buy the Bounty Hunter Land Ranger, which is the second last better detector from BH, or the Minelab XTerra 30, which is the cheapest of Minelab?

For nuggets, neither. BH has to low a gain that can't be set and the same goes for the X-Terra 30. But now the X-Terra 70 is a totally different ball game. Course it costs more, but your time is worth a lot too and you don't want to waste time or money using a detector that isn't well suited for what you want to find. Both the BH & X-Terra 30 are fine for coins when your starting out.

Sandman, I don't understand what you mean by the BH LandRanger having too low a "gain" and no way to set it. I have one, my first detector and I don't know what you mean by "gain"? I'm not challenging your advice I just don't understand the term as you used it. Monty
