Biblical motif Silver ring and "wheatie" .....that was about it for today

Gorgeous morning at the beach...beautiful, mild breeze and sunny skies.

Hunted the incoming tide.

Found the silver ring in the first 10 minutes of detecting in wet sand about 6" deep. It was heavily encrusted , so it was given an electrolysis treatment for a few minutes to clean it up....

Ring is inscribed" 1 Thes 4:3-4

Nice finds! you clean up silver very well. You do have a hot silver detector. What model do you use?

WTG Lorraine! Nice finds - That ring is a pretty popular style --- have 2 pals who each found that same ring, 1 at a ball field, 1 at the beach --- within the last month or two.

Awesome Lorrain. You did a great job on that ring. I usually don't clean mine up.. and if I do, I just use a wire wheel on a dremel.

Gorgeous ring there lady...1 Thessalonians 4: 3-4 reads....3: For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4: that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

Just an FTI...this most likely a "Chasity ring"...I gave a similar one to my daughter when she turned 16.

Nice ring ...especially after cleaning.

I looked up the reference (forever curious) since I have one of those rings too...from about 2 years ago:

1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 = "It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable"

Nice sentiment ... I hope whoever lost it gets another!
