Went out today with 2 friends. We hit some public land in the next town over. Found the cellar we were looking for but it had been picked over well. My friends got a couple buttons and I got the shotgun shells. We left there and headed up the trail. Near the top of a small hill there was a nice old field on the right that just had that "look". Level ground that had to have had some activity on it. It was surrounded by a stone wall that looked pretty old.
My friends picked up a dandy button and a couple tombacs right off the bat. I wasnt hearing a darn thing...until..I got a screaming 27/28 that was double tapping, indicating it wasnt very deep. 27/28 is usually a silver dime, and thats what I was expecting. What came out was a dark dark almost black disk. I gave it a wipe and saw the crest on the back and yelled "Reale!!" 1808 King Charles IIII, Potosi Mint. Some silvers i leave stained, other I clean. This one I decided to clean it to make for better pictures and display.

This is my second 2 reales in just over 2 months, and my 4th real total (two 1/2s and two 2's)
Also zipped down to mass to try a few parks and pulled the vintage CREED Christ Pendant with the Sterling mark. This was at the base of a large tree and was masked by some junk and iron but i heard enough of a squeek to investigate. Out of the hole it rings up 30. Weight is .503 oz troy
