Went to a park and saw a big truck and saw free food. I pulled up and they asked me if i was 65. Yes i said and they put a huge box in my car of assorted food. The guy saw my metal detector and said are you going out in the park. Nope going home and putting this in the fridge. Guess where i am going next week? :hello2:

Some group has been doing that in my area recently. Seems odd that the food banks run nearly empty most of the year and panic shoppers devastated the grocery stores earlier this year causing huge problems for the supply and distribution networks, yet now there seems to be some sort of surplus that enables groups to give away food by the truck loads. I hope it reaches those in need.

Actually in many towns "COVID fear" has kept many that are in need inside and not at food pantries. This is especially true for many "elderly" like you and me.
I am more akin to you...get out and LIVE life...days are numbered, and God is Good.

Nice score! :icon_thumleft:

I work the college food drive every month. We get the delivery of food (7:30 am), box it (usually 370 - 420 boxes from 8:00 am - 11:30 am), then the cars start rolling in (12:00 - 2:30 pm) and we place it into their trunk. It's a long physical day, but fun to do! :hello2:

No such thing as a free lunch, but I’d hit that.
