Was able to hunt a couple field sites this week. The first one gave up a copper to each of my hunting buddies and what appears to be a copper to me. Has a few holes in it but it's KG sized and two other KG's came out of this field. Also found a piece of a silver spoon and a random farmer dropped mercury dime dated 1945 in this field.

Hunted a different field site today and came up with 2 large cents of the coronet variety.

The second one was holed and had a piece cut out of it. I thought it might have been hit by a plow but it seems to be a clean cut. Strange.

Also turned up both halves of the same small buckle, a nice barrel tap, and this last relic. I feel like I should know what this is but I don't. I threw a quarter in there for size reference. Any help will be appreciated on an ID.

Here's a few more pics including a compilation pic. I gave the barrel tap and the intact large cent to the land owner of the field we hunted today.

Damn nice finds brother...:icon_thumleft:

Nice finds. It looks like someone was using large cents for washers or some sort of machinery pieces. Not uncommon in the day. Spoon looks silver and old. Way to go!

Nice going on the assortment of finds, liking the tap and hanger and what looks like whizzers.

Very nice finds. The tap is sweet. I am with pepperj on the LC/KG being a whizzer. Well done!

Great to see you getting out bud. Good day for sure

Alright, Man! Love the coppers and definitely the spigot piece.

Very nice Digs indeed Congrats

great finds, and that's very stand up of you to give the LC and bottle tap to the owner, thatll be paid forward on your next hunt!

That piece goes to a horse bridle. I think it is called a gag or something.

Good hunt and nice barrel tap!
