I headed out to hunt the large corner lot that I got permission hunt yesterday. The home was built in 1955. Starting out I wasn't finding anything but a bunch of modern coins, not a single wheat penny to spur me on.
About hour into the hunt I got a sweet audio with the VDI numbers rolling slowly from 75 to 79. Nine times out of ten it's going to be a silver dime when I get that reading and audio. I popped 1939 Mercury dime and I also found two or three wheat pennies in the immediate area.
Sometimes you find no silver coins at a site like this and sometimes you find a bunch of silver coins, but today it was just one silver coin.
This was my 40th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 116. All done without getting skunked on a single hunt.
My F75DST detector settings: 9.0, Sensitivity 85, DE Mode, 3H Tones, Disc Level 0, GB 63.
