I think it is fake, no markings inside but holes in back for the small dimonds on each side.

It's not fake if you can touch it, see it or smell it! Looks like a real ring to me! Hope you get a good determination on it's value when you can get it appraised!

yes diamonds chip it is why you should never test a diamond by scratching glass a jeweler or pawn shop can test it for you have them test the side stones even if the center isn't real

it is still a heart stopping find though
