Been lookin at this for about 13 years now. It was in the woods at an early plantation site dumped in a wash along with a wagon frame and axles. Thought it time to rescue as site is being developed. GULF REFINING CO. 7-16 JULY 1916. The lid was all that was left. Thought this more interesting than all the flat buttons, pewter spoon parts and a few Yankee buttons.
