Hello Fellow CRHers,

I learned a very big lesson today -- picked up my usual 2 boxes of halves and noticed there was a lot of tape and writing on the boxes. I opened them up in the car and much to my chagrin one box was all customer wrapped rolls, some with tape on the rolls and some without and the other box was full of tattered yellow string wrappers. I thought to myself, great, I get to look through somebody's dumps tonight, lucky me! :-\ Brought the boxes back into the bank to show the tellers and ask them if they knew how this happened (nicely of course). They explained that the bank saves money by shipping boxes around from branch to branch so it doesn't have to get processed by Loomis and that happens every now and again. They reassured me they were probably just customer rolls from another branch - they even looked up the branch code on the box and it was from a branch about 100 miles away from me!!! I said ok thank you so much I just wanted to know what happened because this had never happened before with this supplier.

Box #1 with customer wrapped rolls turned out to be my second best box EVER in terms of the number of keepers!!!
[18] 40%ers :icon_thumright:
[1] 1951 Ben :icon_thumleft:

Box #2: skunk!

Lesson learned: Don't judge a box by the way it looks or how you think it will turn out!!!

Great outcome!!

I think customer rolls are great. I try to find all I can of those. As those are some nice numbers....Matt

Great score!!!!! WTG!!!!

Wow. That is a lesson learned. I would have, very honestly, been upset that boxes had been tampered with. You taught this ol' gal a new lesson!
