Big old race car

I found this big race car at a flea market.
It appears to be made out of some kind of resin material, but I'm not sure.
its pretty big at 27 inches long.
The wheels turn freely and are metal rim and rubber tire.
I see no markings to identify it whatsoever.
Just wondering what I have here and if I payed too much at $50.
Thanks for any help.

Your car is a decorative "Antique", recently made in China. These are all less than 25 years old and are usually available in "antique" stores that cater to interior decorators. The resin that these "toys" are cast from didn't exist before the 1960s. I used to attend gift and merchandise shows in Las Vegas, New York and Atlantic City and have seen these wholesale for less than $25. each when new. The Chinese have made some metal Bi-plane models that were amazing for the price however, and have seen collectors pay hundreds of dollars for them thinking that they were real antiques.

I've seen something like this at Hobby Lobby,for about $60.

You're probably at par with the market value
