BIG Silver

Tnet member P@tch picked me up this morning, and we headed to the latest site of my affection. It’s really nice, but I suspect it’ll be short lived.

I dug 124 coins today, by hand, no shovel. I’m sore and tired.



Here are the 42 wheaties I dug TODAY. That’s got to be some kind of record.



I also got a dateless buffalo, Cracker Jack gun and transit token.



Now to the shiny stuff. This is what I am TRYING to find.

This chunk has a silver dime in it. It was right up against the sidewalk.



I was tired and my feet were dragging. I had two silver dimes, and been at it for well over 5 hours straight. When I pitched the dirt out of this hole I knew it was all worth it. There was a HALF DOLLAR just siting there. All those holes, and finally the right one.



Here are the three silver coins that I found today.



I’ve been very lucky lately, third Walker in less than 30 days.

I got 21 out of this site a couple of days ago. I don’t think I’ve gotten more than 20 but a couple of times ever. Almost 50% wheaties, lots of wheat means silver is close by!

When you say "by hand" is it safe to assume you did use a hand digger?!? That's a HEEP of work recovering that many targets but, your finds certainly justify your efforts. Darn fine hunting there mate. Big congrats on the SUPER Wheatie score and silver booty haul!
