Birdstone? Effigy?

This is a find from Southwest Missouri. Is it either of the two. The eye looks like it has some kind of star or flower in it. The tail end has a groove that was gouged out of it . ill put more pics of it. Here shortly. Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated.

2nd - If no one can identify your find - you might consider posting your pictures on GEOLOGICAL > ROCKS/GEMS for additional exposure.

Now, let's look at the other side. If it's exactly the same with the "eye" and tail, I might revise my opinion that, as already mentioned, it's just a rock.

That "star" is probably some kind of a sea-life or plant fossil and it appears to be a naturally formed rock, perhaps eroded by water or as glacial till.

If its made in France Iv bin told they last longer then the ones made in USA...
