Saturday was my birthday. I was greeted with a pastel sunrise, and high hopes for a good hunt, as my latest permission yielded a silver quarter last weekend. TNetter, Kurt Stuben picked me up at 8:00AM sharp.

About an hour into the hunt, this 1946 Rosie flew out of one of my holes. A wry smile quickly followed.

Smittyman showed up about 11:30, and we all went off to eat lunch.
Upon our return, Kurt and Smittyman jumped in front of me, and feverishly dug holes, in an effort to beat me to the shiny coins. It was all for naught. I approached an area that looked like Swiss cheese, undaunted, I went low and slow. Right between the bomb craters, I got a weird broken signal, dug a hole, and this is what I saw.

A little silver coin, which turned out to be a 1917 Merc... after a quick taunt or two directed at the gopher patrol, I looked back in the hole, and there was a silver Rosie in there too! Two coins, one hole!
Shortly there after, this dirt clod appeared, with a Merc hanging out of it!

I ended the day with 4 silver coins, and was quite pleased.

Here is the other side of the hunt. I dug 99 total coins, and at least that much trash. In about 5 hours, I dug at least 250 holes. To find treasure, you have to dig a lot of holes!

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!
