this is rather a dark looking stone but in the photos we can see the green tune and yellowish tints. what would you name this one? a jasper or what? or what not![]()

probably massive (non crystalline) epidote. It often looks black until you get a thin section where you can see the color.
Hardness and streak test would be helpful though to confirm
additional infos i have obtained from the stone here below:
specific gravity: 3,05
white streak
and i could hardly scratch one or two point with a knife blade (mohs 5-6,5)
this one is the best similar photo to me too.
