✅ SOLVED Blank copper piece w/hammered edge.

Not sure what this is, and there are no markings. Rang up like an old copper coin, had crust like an old copper coin, and thought it might be a copper coin until I cleaned it. Oh well. Looks like it may have a Co, but that's probably a mark from it being smashed on the edge of something. Same size (1 1/8") as old large copper coins, although a bit thinner. Anyone have any idea?

I look forward to seeing if anyone can answer this. I have found a couple of pieces EXACTLY like this. I mean, this could have been my post. I don't think it is a coin and I don't think it is a tag or a punchout. It's just a weird round copper thing but I don't know what from. I could never get a good enough photo to make it worth sharing. Thanks for the post and happy hunting.

It looks like a double struck Connecticut Copper. Neat find!
