It was number one on a list of best scores in the TNET CRH forums. I'm hoping that the bag I'm picking up this afternoon is similar. I went way off the beaten trail to get this one. I'll post how it goes later tonight.

Iirc, there was one post of someone finding over $500 face value of walking liberty halves. (1000 coins)

That is an awesome find, but I can't help but wonder about the circumstances.

surly someone with that many silver halves would know what they had.

I'm picturing a senile, little old man, that forgot what he had, and traded them in for face.

Probably more like some thief, stupid enough to steal someone's collection,and then cash them in at face value.
